I’ve been composing stories from words for as long as I can remember. As a journalist, I’ve been writing for various Slovenian media outlets for a good decade, and in the last 15 years, I’ve been creating stories primarily to raise awareness about the burden of various health problems.<\/p>\n

I started my career in 1990 as a PR and Communications Manager at Koda Studio, where I quickly rose through the ranks and established myself as one of the most influential communications professionals. I later joined Lek\/Sandoz\/Novartis, where I took over the management of corporate communications first in Slovenia, then in Southeastern Europe, Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Baltics. I made a significant contribution to the strategic development of communications in the pharmaceutical industry, my vision was based on clear, transparent and respectful dialogue.<\/p>\n

I received my master’s degree from the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, where I was a pioneer in the field of public relations. I also completed the General Management Program at the IEDC Business School Bled. I am involved in professional associations such as the Slovenian Public Relations Society and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). I have also received several awards for my contributions to the development of the profession, including the prestigious PRO PR Award in 2015.<\/p>\n

As a lecturer, I am known for my energy, inclusive approach and ability to capture the attention of every listener. My workshops and lectures are based on concrete examples from practice, as I use my many years of experience to enable participants to gain effective solutions to their own challenges. I also have exceptional skills in the areas of building corporate reputation, government relations, crisis communication, conflict resolution, working with patients and implementing strategies to improve internal and external communication in companies. My excellent communication skills and good understanding of diversity have also led me to lead diversity and inclusion councils in an international environment.<\/p>\n

In my lectures, I focus on transferring practical knowledge that leads to a better organizational culture, greater brand recognition, and deepening relationships with employees and the public. My workshops offer participants insight into modern communication trends, competencies that are key to success in the corporate world, and adaptable techniques that ensure better understanding between all stakeholders. As a lecturer, I stand out with authority, empathy, and passion for the profession, which is why my workshops are always well attended and highly rated.<\/p>\n

As a volunteer, I have worked with various organizations within Novartis’ corporate volunteering for many years.<\/p>\n

I am a mother of two daughters, and in my free time I like to hike, dance, dive, travel, read, watch movies, and attend exhibitions and theater and dance performances.<\/p>\n

I am convinced that the first moment of communication happens with the first contact \u2013 with a greeting, a handshake, a look in the eye, a phone conversation, an email or a post on social networks. These are small but important moments that create a personal brand and leave an impression. As a long-time leader, I enjoy my mission of maturity, that is, transferring knowledge and skills to younger colleagues. I often take on a mentoring or consulting role, which I enjoy as much as the results of perfectly executed projects, which are proudly recorded among the successes of the company I lead.<\/p>\n

If I had to choose my career path again, I would choose entrepreneurship again. The variety of projects and the many contacts I have made along the way enrich both my business and personal life, and no day is the same.<\/p>\n

Of course, words only have magical power when they are masterfully woven into an interesting story, told by the right person at the right time, in the right place, and in the right way. When it comes to conveying stories to the wider world, I am aided by persuasive and respectful communication and a good knowledge of Slovenian media and how they operate.<\/p>\n

I am convinced that we can only create a good story after we first listen carefully to the central character. My motto is that each of us has an interesting story. My favorite work challenge is the moments when I connect seemingly unrelated sentences and uncertain words into a story that attracts attention. Through my work, I strive to create a positive impact, both on clients and on users involved in digital campaigns, guided by the belief that every word, post or interaction leaves a mark and builds long-term relationships.<\/p>\n

Even in my free time, I’m often in front of screens and learning about new trends in the digital world, as it’s one of the fastest-growing industries. At the same time, I try to spend as much of my free time as possible in a quality way – with my family, in nature, and traveling.<\/p>\n
